4-H2O, Proud to Be Part of the 4-H Family

4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship and life skills. Through an informal, practical, and experiential learning approach, youth will: learn by doing, set goals, problem solve, make new friends, give back to the community, and build connections with others.

About 4-H2O

We started our club in 2003 meeting at Tampa Bay Water, and named our club after our community sponsor.  We are a general club with members working independently on the projects of their choice, and also as a group on the project "Leadership Journal". We meet every Wednesday at 4 PM and alternate between business meetings one week and project meetings the next.

We make a point to attend as many of the county and district 4-H events as we can. Our members have won many awards last year at a variety of events like  the 4-H Apple Cook Off, County Demonstration Day, District Demonstration Day, the State 4-H Poster Contest, the State Dairy Poster Contest, the Fair, and Night of the Arts.  100% of our active members completed their 4-H projects. 4-H2O is the only 4-H Club in Pinellas County that has won the top club honor of "Emerald Award" two years in a row.

In addition to working on our projects and learning, we
do many fun activities at our meetings too.  Sometimes we play games, sometimes we make crafts. It's always something different. We love having fun together. Anywhere you see us, we will be laughing and playing. After a day with our club members, our stomachs usually hurt from laughing so much.

Our Award Winning Leader, Ms. Lisa

Ms. Lisa is our volunteer leader. This is her 5th year as a 4-H Leader. Last year she won Leader of the Year award, and this year she has won the Health Award. She has a bachelor's degree in Nursing Science from the University of Nevada Reno. For the past three years, she has volunteered to be the camp nurse at 4-H Camp in Ocala. Ms. Lisa is a big kid herself, but she does teach us a lot. She says she loves being a 4-H Leader because she loves having a good time with all of us and she always learns new things.
